WEEK IN REWIND

OY!!!! What  busy week we had, hence no update. Here is what we did last week

Monday: We did nothing except Harper had her 6 month check up. She is 26.5 inches long, 16.3 lbs and her head well she is following in Londyn's foot steps and off the chart but curving...LOL She is right where she needs to be. She also ended up with her 6 month vaccinations poor thing but she did really well and the Dr isn't concerned anymore about her UTI all the tests came back normal. YEAH

Tuesday:  well i enrolled Londyn in Gymnastics at Gymnastics Michiana, they offer classes for as young as 18 months and well it was just natural for me to want to enroll her. i grew up dancing and i was a cheerleader so of course i want to start her young:) You know Back hand springs by 3 Back tucks by 6...lol ok maybe i am a little overboard:) I was sooooo excited Londyn well not so much!!! She has always been a very cautious child and she was very scared of some of the apparatus. She did not like the bars or the beam but she did warm up to the tumble track ( they use it as a trampoline) She hated the foam pit and just kept telling me MESSY MESSY MOMMA MESSY...ok not only is she cautious she is a neat freak too!!!! She did enjoy the wooden sticks, marching around and off course dancing, maybe she will be my ballerina:)She loved the stamp and sucker at the end. Maybe Harper will be my gymnast;)

Wednesday: We had a Play Date at the Center Branch Library. It was Mardi Gras themed. The kids made necklaces out of colored pasta and mardi gras masks. Londyn was not down with making the necklaces and got very angry when i tried to help. Little Miss Independent!!!!! We then went and met my friend Courtney for Lunch at Hacienda. I use to work with Courtney at Staples and she lives in Dyer so when she comes this way for work we always try to meet up. She is pregnant and due with a little girl in June!!! so exciting:):)

Thursday: We went to a private event at Fun N fitness, which is nicely located like a half a mile down the road from the house. This is a gymnastics place as well. Londyn did alot better and even tried to walk on the balance beam. They offer alot of open gym times on Saturday mornings. The cost is 5 dollars and the kids have full reign of the whole room. Its a great way to run off some energy

Friday: We went to another play date. this one was located at Soccer Zone up off of University Dr. It was a great place to let the kids run and play. Londyn enjoyed kicking the soccer ball around and picking the soccer balls up and lining them up. She did not care for the children's zone which has a bunch of blow up toys that the kids can bounce in. So maybe i have a soccer player on my hands...hehehe it would be ok. I played soccer!!!

Then Saturday and Sunday we hung out around the House cheering on the Bucks in the Big Ten Tournament!!! They WON!!!!! We'll be sporting our buckeye gear this week as March Madness begins....O-H-I-O....Harper needs to learn to talk ASAP....Londyn has the O down but doesn't care for the H and I..so we are delegating those to Harper:)

Oh and we pulled out the Walker for Harper, yes a little young but she really liked it and Londyn enjoyed pushing her around in it

Check up and Tests

Yesterday was a busy day. Londyn had her 18 month check up. 34 inches tall (98%), 25 lb 11 oz (50th-70th) and her head well still off the chart but curving nicely...LOL. She just had to have one shot her HEP A and to hear great news no more shots until Kindergarden with the exception of the yearly flu.

The Dr also did her development test and she is right where she is suppose to be and very advanced in language skills..HELLO THE KID LIKES TO TALK, NOT SURE WHERE SHE GETS THAT:). The Dr was amazed that she is already putting 2 words together. Londyn is repeating everything and learning something new everyday, its really fun to watch her explore the world around her and watch her imagination grow. She has such an amazing imagination its just so interesting to watch her play with her dolls and her fairies, she got them for Christmas and they have a little house so girlie and sooooo cute!!!! I bought them from One step ahead. If you haven checked them out they have some really great learning toys. http://www.onestepahead.com/home.jsp
Some of her favorite words include, eddie, archie and coop, Papa and Nana, play, she just started saying Harper and her name. She also says rice, please, thank you, pop pop (popsicle), potty, dora, beat (fresh beats), car, cat, dog, flower, train, shoes, nap, nite, apple, sandwich, juice milk, more and cry On top of the regulars mom, dad, bye, hi, no, yes. and a whole bunch more that i can't think of. she puts together the words baby cry and a few others. she can point to all her body parts and she can make some animal sounds when asked what sound the cow, dog, cat, horse and frog make.  We are starting to work with her on colors. She can say them but not associate yet.

Thank god my pediatrician is in the same building as the hospital b/c harper had to have some tests run in the radiology dept so it was so convenient to be able to go to both appointments and not have to run all over town.  Harpers tests all went well and the results were very good

Dr. Seuss Dr.Seuss

So since my dad is visiting for a few days, i was able to get out of the house with just Londyn this morning. I love being able to spend time with just her. She is so much fun and full of so much personality. We headed to Target, If you don't know Target is a huge supporter of Read Across America. Since Dr.Seuss birthday is March 2nd they were having a birthday party at all stores across the country. We went up to the North Target. I was very happy to find it not to be crowded. We listened to a story, received a goody bag and ate a cupcake!!! We were also very excited to show off our Dr.Seuss t-shirt. Oh come on you had to expect i would have an outfit for this:)...I wouldn't cooperate for pictures but my shirt said "Love that Cat". Then i headed to the Overstock sale at Toscana Park and found a great new clothing company for kids called Toeheadz, they are located locally but you can only order on line. http://www.toeheadz.com/index.html I am so excited to check them out and order some things. I love shoes for myself or for the kids and they carry the line Livie and Luca, they are pricey shoes but such amazing quality!!!!

Sweet Baby Harper

oh sweet baby Harper, why do you wake up so early....lol. OK i will admit it i am not a morning person at all and have been fortunate that my oldest takes after her mom and is a sleeper and likes to sleep in late real late, i think Londyn would spend all day in bed if i would let her but sweet baby Harper is not. She is usually up by 7:30 which i am OK with but This morning as i am sound asleep and all cozy warm on the comes the monitor, i reach for my phone 5:00 am...HARPER!!!!!! i stumble out of bed into her room and there she is looking up and smiling me at me, how can you not love that...OK kiddo lets do this, i change her and bring her back to bed with me and she cuddles for a bit and then fusses...time to eat mom, we stumble down stairs and i lay her in her swing while i get her bottle made, the bottle is done and we settle in on the couch and she eats, ahhh thanks mom!!! oh my sweet baby Harper as much as i dislike that you wake up before the sun, i do like spending quiet mornings with you before the craziness of the day starts...I think she wakes up sometimes just to spend quiet time with me, b/c when L wakes up its no stop go go go so I will take mornings like this as long as you promise not to wake up at 5 am every morning;) but few upsides to early morning wake ups. I can catch up on some DVR time and We go back to bed after she eats!!! so back to bed we go for a couple of hours!!!!!
